Reduce uncertainty first

You do not need a complete dossier before speaking with us.

Start with the documents you already have. We can review the product name, intended use, ingredient or component list, current label, manufacturer details, existing certificates, overseas registrations, intended claims and proposed Thai importer arrangement.

The goal is simple: understand what needs to be checked before you commit time and money to registration, testing, importing or launch preparation.

What you will understand

Know what may be required before you spend money on registration.

We help identify the regulatory touchpoints, missing information and practical next steps for the product and Thailand operating model.

We help identify

  • How the product is likely to be treated under the Thai regulatory framework
  • What type of Thai applicant, responsible party or importer may be required
  • Whether premises, storage or handling requirements may apply
  • Which existing manufacturer documents and certificates may be relevant
  • What information, translations or evidence appear to be missing
  • Thai labelling and presentation considerations
  • Whether proposed claims may create additional regulatory issues
  • Practical next steps before import or market launch

The responsible authority decides

  • Final product classification and applicable pathway
  • Acceptance of an applicant, facility or premises
  • Whether submitted evidence is sufficient
  • Requests for testing, clarification or additional documents
  • Grant, conditions, amendment or refusal of an official permission
  • Official fees, review periods and enforcement decisions

Common questions

Questions to settle before importing or launching

Does every product need the same Thai FDA registration?
No. The pathway depends on the product category, composition, intended use, claims, applicant, premises and other factors. Different products may require registration, notification, permission, facility licensing or another step.
Can an overseas brand register a product directly?
The appropriate applicant or responsible-party structure depends on the product category and proposed Thailand supply chain. We review the overseas manufacturer, Thai importer or entity, premises and activity before proceeding.
Can our existing overseas certificates or test reports be used?
They may be relevant, but their usefulness depends on the product pathway, issuing body, format, validity and current authority requirements. We first inventory what you already have and identify likely gaps.
Is a Thai label enough to make the product compliant?
No. Labelling is only one part of the framework. The product composition, claims, manufacturer evidence, applicant, premises, product file and import pathway may also need review.
How long will the process take?
Timing depends on the product category, document readiness, testing, translations, applicant and premises readiness, and the responsible authority's review. We provide a working estimate only after the initial assessment.
