What businesses usually want to know before proceeding

Does my wireless or connected product need the same NBTC approval as other products?

No. The pathway depends on device functions, radio technologies, frequencies, power, interfaces, intended use and applicable technical standards. Some products can include several regulated functions.

Can CE or FCC reports be used in Thailand?

Existing reports may be relevant, but they are not automatically sufficient. The applicable Thai standards, test scope, laboratory evidence, report format and model identity should be reviewed for the particular pathway.

Can an overseas manufacturer apply directly?

The appropriate applicant or responsible-party structure depends on the equipment or operating pathway. We review the overseas manufacturer, Thai importer or entity, supply chain and intended activity before recommending how to proceed.

Does equipment conformity allow us to provide a telecom service?

Not by itself. Equipment conformity and authorisation to operate a telecommunications service are separate questions. Network, service, spectrum and commercial responsibilities should be assessed independently.

Can one result cover every model or variant?

Not necessarily. Hardware, radio module, antenna, firmware, output power, brand and model differences can affect whether evidence can be shared. Variants should be mapped before the scope is fixed.

How long can the process take?

A working estimate can only be given after the likely pathway and available evidence are reviewed. Timing can depend on testing, documents, applicant readiness, technical questions and the authority's review. UnionSPACE does not guarantee an official processing period.

How are fees presented?
